My family moved a lot when I was a kid. Having to find a new house in a new town was a challenge and an opportunity. While I didn’t get to go on all the house-hunting trips with my parents to experience the homes in person, my folks always let me be part of the decision making process. Reviewing the listings, talking about the features and reviewing the pros and cons gave me good idea of the home buying process. Also, seeing the listing side helped give a more complete picture of the real estate game.

When I was about 12, my mother became a REALTOR®. I saw her go to appointments with potential clients and work with buyers and sellers. My parents also invested in real estate which allowed me to see a bit of the property management side.

It’s my passion… I have the best job in the world. Being able to use my talents and experience to guide my clients through the process of buying or selling a home gives me great joy. My reward for all of the hard work comes at closing time, when I get to see my clients’ reactions to reaching their goals.

Being my own boss gives me the flexibility to have a work/life balance that allows me to be able to meet my family’s financial needs and still be there for family time and my children’s activities, and there sure are a lot of those.

I am truly thankful for this opportunity and meet every day with gratitude and appreciation.

It’s about YOU… Do you want an agent that works for themselves and their team, or an agent who works for YOU? Some agents see you as just another possible commission to use to expand their empire. When you hire one of these agents, you may be assigned a team member to work with you. Large teams have buying agents and listing agents who focus on production numbers and work on quotas. The agent whose name is on the sign is sometimes just that, a name on a sign. It’s quite possible that you will never have any interaction with them. If you do, it may only be at closing (if the transaction closes at all). I see YOU as an individual who deserves special treatment.

Hire me, work with me… I focus on my clients personally, so when you hire me to represent your interests in what is quite possibly the largest financial transaction of your life, you get me. I do not believe that a large, impersonal team is right for my clients. By working directly with my clients, I am able I treat each and every client as an individual, with unique needs and desires, not just as another transaction. I will be with you every step of the way to ensure that you have the advice and guidance you need to make informed decisions and to make sure we have the smoothest transaction possible. Knowing the cause of any problems that may arise will help us deal with the issue quickly to avoid delays.

Training is key… I believe that going above and beyond is not quite far enough. I feel that the best way I can truly be more valuable to my clients is through education. I invest my time and money every month for seminars, online classes, webinars and other education opportunities in order to constantly expand my knowledge and upgrade my skills. It is through learning and application of what is learned that true knowledge is gained-knowledge that can help me assess, plan and serve my clients’ individual needs.

As a Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI), I have have had in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards, and the sales process. This knowledge helps me better manage transactions and mitigate risk.

As a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), I have undertaken complex training in negotiation techniques and tactics, which allows me to be able to gather information, set expectations, and plan and execute negotiations on behalf of my clients, in order to achieve or exceed their goals.

As an Accredited Buyer’s Representative® (ABR®), buyers are my priority. I help my buyer clients achieve their real estate goals through a consultative sales and education approach. I do things right the first time with honesty and integrity and firmly believe that communication is the key to long-lasting, successful partnerships. You will always know where you stand with me, and I will make sure you always have the information you need to make informed decisions in your real estate transactions.

The Senior (50+) buyer or seller has vastly different needs than a first time homebuyer or move-up seller. I have completed specialized coursework, focused on the needs of seniors, and have obtained my Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation. The knowledge gained has helped me immensely in assisting my senior clients by giving me insight into the emotional, mental and physical needs involved in such a transaction.

In 2018, I was one of the first REALTORS® in the county to receive the new Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement from the National Association of REALTORS®, a program that empowers REALTORS® to demonstrate their professionalism and commitment to conducting business at the highest standards.

Experience counts… In an industry where 15-20 percent of agents don’t do a single deal each year, where half of all agents leave the business within two years and 80 percent of transactions are handled by just 10 percent of the agents, it takes hard work and commitment to last. To some this is a hobby, to me it’s what I do for a living, and I continue to grow my business every year.

Maintaining long-standing relationships with a majority of my fellow area real estate professionals and related service providers has allowed me to build on my reputation as someone who is knowledgeable and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure all parties win. They know that I am focused on making sure that every aspect of a transaction is handled with care and that my clients are well represented.

With a professional background in media, technology, education and marketing, I have skills that translate incredibly well to helping people buy and sell real estate. From knowledge of tools and techniques, to education and team building, I have the experience to get the job done.
